Giving Thanks

Jim and Grambee showed up around noon. THis is a pre-triptophan nap:

Soon the childrens were getting fed up!

It was a very exciting meal, and not too well-documented.  But a great triumph by Maggie and Arthur, our hosts!  And then there was a puppet show:

Early the next morning, wily Ella and Grambee sorted out the apple peeling/coring device brought from Scandinavia.  Amazing.  Applesauce!

Shortly thereafter, Ida got out all the Xmas tree decorations; no rest around here!  Holidays are ON.

Novembers

Had a super four day weekend a week ago--lots of work! Ella took it upon herself to create a series of science experiments!

'Twas like magic in the kitchen...

What's Lucy been up to?   Heading out to Thousand Acres,

Playing ball at Reed College,

and living the dream with Maggie!

It's almost Arthur's b'day, but he's been celebrating for a while.  Here's a short version of trick he was playing.

catching up with Ida's photography

Yes, Ida still has her blue camera, and it is used to document many, many things.

I just downloaded what I could.  Say, when was GrandKathy last in town?

Who even is this?

I think this bear as on display at Skamania, last summer.

The blue camera comes out, people start making faces:

Maybe especially Elsie.  Big Vining Mouth + Bradford Horse Teeth = Watch Out!

Actually, this is the famed babysitter, Big Elsie:

Skamania Trip, attractive woman:

Special visit from artist Gabby Miller:

The future will be dangerous.

Many staged photos like this one.  "Frens."

Set up burned a good hour:

Hella Halloween

Nothing like it for this butterfly and alligator, to be certain:

Soon we ran into a skeleton!

This was actually Sunday the 27th, at the Monster March.  Ferocious.

Eventually we even came across this kitten!

And this gorilla.  Arthur no longer has the corner on this costume (though he wears it several times a month, out of his bedroom); another, better gorilla was at the March!  I went up to this new gorilla and grabbed his butt and Ida jumped onto his leg.  He just growled!

But this one, as you can tell, is Arthur.

Big news, GrandKathy:  Theo can do the monkeybars.

Here's the actual night of Halloween!  Going out to get some serious candy!

Too bad there's not a better view of Lucy's tutu!  Miki switched from an alligator to a witch to a shark and then, at the last minute...ninja!
