NYC

You may recall that our friend Josh Welber often comes to see us around Halloween.  We decided to go see how he lives, in an actual apartment not he Upper East side, and check out Manhattan, New York City.  And not only that, but the girls got to meet Josh's wife, Emily, who often lives in Paris, France!

Liked her so much they had many things to show her:

Subway is no joke:

Yes, we scaled the great Lady Liberty.  Here we are inside her head!  Very cool!  Thanks to Ella for getting us tickets six weeks in advance.  That's a lot of stairs.  Soon the French will take back this monument because of our President, but we did get to check it out!

Hot in the city

Later, a party with Emma and The British Baking Show

I went to college with these attractive men:

One of them, Byron (far right), spawned Emma, who is very nice:

A sordid crew:

Even more!

A very strange thing that happened in Haddonfield was this strange doppelgänger showed up on my pillow one night!

Mr. Vining compelled us to go to the Philadelphia Zoo.

It was 100 degrees there.  But there was water ice.

Another day we went to Atsion Lake in New Jersey.  Rented a canoe!  Ate yogurt.  It was great.

Oh, back to the zoo:

And of course a visit to Sagami!

I ate all of this:

On our last morning before NYC we went downtown to the Ben Franklin museum.  These ladies are walking to the train:

The Haddonfield Station features these many fine mosaics:

Haddonsfield!

So much to sort out! Both the Vikings and Kashimadas were pirates. Plenty of silver.

Everyone broke Arthur's record on the recumbent bike:

So much delicious food!  So many cat stories!

Much coloring and reading to be had.

More silver . . .

What a nice young lady!

Beer drinking!

Three generations...

New Jersey is so exciting!

School Ends / Summer Begins

YOU KNOW school's winding down when it's Carnival time--these jokers still have sticky hands.

Movie schwag:

A hike we went on?

These two!

Ida spent a night away on an Oregon Trail adventure and taped up this photo above RoRo's bed so Ro wouldn't miss her.

Who did an excellent project on the Giant Panda?  (Hint:  Miki)

Last day of school!  Didn't feel like summer at all!

A lot of catching up to do.

RoRo got spayed!

Ida had a laughing fit!

Cone of Shame?

Glissa & Hannah got to go to school!

A trip to Otto's Sausage Kitchen is always wise!

Ida's puppet performance!

She was one of the chiefs!

Miki's excellent 8 year old swimming party!

I got signature shoes for it!

Unfortunately, Miki flew off the monkey bars and broke her wrist the night before!

Girls scored some cool guinea pig-themed gifts from our friend Samiya!

RoRo likes to practice with Ida; whether it's better or worse that she can't hear, we don't know.  Perhaps she can feel the vibrations?

I went to LA on a book tour and met this friend, Zeus.

Returned to this kind of action:

Can the Dr. work at home?  Hmm.
