A very good month.

So many beautiful things to see. We went to a Thorns game--pro women's soccer, in case you don't know!--which was fun. 4-1 Thorns!

Elsie and Ida were into it.

Other hi-jinks, some of which I don't understand.

As for sneaking into the president's house to swim, that I do understand.

Great Wolf!

Miki chose, instead of a birthday party, for the family to head up to "Great Wolf Lodge" in Washington, home of many giant water slides, a wave pool, magic wands, and all manner of beasts.

Who set it all up?

Ferocity ruled the day, even at breakfast...

Carly, Renn Fayre, etc.

In case you didn't know, that's Carly, the girls main babysitter these last two years. What a strange and excellent individual!

She turned in her thesis! She's an adult and has a new job as a medical scribe, which may lead her to medical school...

First, though, the annual celebration of debauchery that is Renn Fayre.  The girls got powered up so we could face it.  A typical breakfast:

Soon they were doing things like filling up a huge plastic bag with water and glitter, giving important assistance to a variety of naked young women dressed as sprites or something.

But not Carly!  All decorum.  Here she is wearing her golden laurels, all triumph.
