We really don't have any new images. Ida's been busy getting bruises on her forehead and thinking about her cousins. Here, for the time being, is some documentation of what Ida looks like when she's naked in Utah and playing with a red ball:

Ida vs. Noodle Mountain

This, the first of 3 short films made during out SLC sojourn, depicts Ida's noodle slurping technique (get ready, it's quick!) vs. a dish Grambee made called "Noodle Mountain."

Whoa. The posts from this weekend's quick jaunt to Salt Lake City--where we sought to intercept the Ottawan LeBlancs and to meet Matthew Ivory Rock, among various other cousins, etc--will have to be in three parts. Look for some very fine films in the near future.

Said cake was part of a birthday party for Samson (cool hair/absent), Ida, Sylvia and Bonnie Kate (pictured, with Aunt Grace; actually, Lillian blew out most of these candles, and her birthday isn't until June!), whose birthdays are all within four days of each other.

It's true, unbelievably: Ida's first birthday is upon us!

She went to her check-up the other day. We are sorry to have to report that she is shrinking! Actually shorter than at her last check up! Now she is just hovering around the 50th percentile for height and weight (despite the picture below), but...her head circumference is now 90th percentile. What?


Below is another unattractive picture of Ida. This is what she looks like when she falls asleep out in the sun in her stroller. Like a chubby, sweaty little boy.

And this is the only shot from today, her actual birthday. Maybe there will be more to follow...

Low Key Picnic

Unlike Ottawa, Portland is enjoying an early summer. So we went for a little picnic.
