Ida vs. Cradle Cap = Keeping it Real

Okay, so there's a downside to having so much hair. Some have denied its presence, but Ella has decided that we cannot live in silence. Ida has some cradle crap:

It's not as pronounced as Samson D'Amato's was, but still. Hey DHV, check out this use for a toothbrush (learned by Ella from a baby-rearing expert book):

While we're at it: some say that Ida's hair smells like a Halloween costume; some say that behind her ears smells "gross, like inside a belly button."

DHV also suffered from the dreaded cap as a newborn (demonstrating that it is not related to the amount of hair on one's head). We did the combing with baby oil thing for a while, which did remove impressive amounts of flakes, but it wasn't until we washed his hair with Selsun Blue a couple of times that we really kicked it. That stuff is powerful.

Not sure I wanted to know about the smells on Ida's head.

Ella wants me to point out that the smell behind the ears was due to spit up and that it's been taken care of as it occurs...

The toothbrush is a fine tool. We have found that coconut oil is far superior to any other when dealing with the cradle crap. It seems that this may be a Rock family gene. Sorry Ida.
