Over the ensuing days, Ida would occasionally sigh and say, "Oh, Matthew." Or say, "I used to have a doll named Matthew, but she's not here right now so Teddy Bear can wear her shirt." "Look, Pookie can wear Matthew's diaper that Matthew can't wear because she got lost in the airport. Oh, Matthew." It was really kind of heartbreaking, so we told Ida that we had hopes that they would find her, but if they did they might also fix her up some--give her some new hair and clothes, fix her arms and legs that were about to fall off, etc--so she might look a little...different. So she began talking about this potential transformation, too. And then this box came in the mail!
How exciting! What a heartrending reunion! Ida just hugged her and hugged her. Another thing that Ida had said, in predicting Matthew's return, was that there would be an envelope in the box for Ida, and it would say, "Ida, here you go." Lo and behold, she was right!
For the rest of the afternoon, Ida occasionally would just start leaping up in uncontrollable joy.
Now Matthew is fully incorporated in the family again, and we hope to never lose her again.
Miki's new doll arrived, too. So far it's called "Oh baby."

I witnessed this reunion and it was truly touching. It should be noted that when I saw Ida and Miki a fews hours later, Ida was carrying Miki's new baby doll, Miki was carrying a naked Big Baby and reincarnated Baby Matthew was nowhere to be found.
Did Matthew grow a new head of hair? Those locks are looking downright lustrous.
How about some posting about your latest achievements Pete? Goldschlager, greatest living Utah writer, etc.
