That's how Maggie gets dressed up to scale mountains! Her sister alleges that she herself, Ella, wore a similar outfit a few weeks back and was RIDICULED by Margaret at that time, but we won't go into it.
It was a big hike, with some close up views of Mount Hood herself.
Often we were slowed down by these be-hatted youngsters who wanted to get out of the backpacks and play complicated games with tiny wrenches, etc.
However! We were so far up that we came upon much snow. What a surprise!
Various snowball fights broke out! Here, you can see Maggie (and Theo) in retreat; Maggie (re)injured her ankle at this very moment. Stalwart.
Speaking of stalwart and resolute, look at this old hound hike away:
She was quite happy to get to the bear grass meadow where we stopped and ate.
Miki liked the bear grass, too.

I somehow deleted several good pictures of Theo crying and freaking out on this trip. But later she cheered up and started wearing her hat like this.

Ida's Benatar/boy look will be seen before too long. Meanwhile, if AB would stop getting ICED he might start documenting his lovely daughters instead of himself and his manly adventures that he accomplished like two months ago.
